Michel Barandi's Nuclear Winter Summer

 Black Metallic blog adores post apocalyptic glamor and just loves the editorial in the #03 issue of the delightful Coillhouse magazine titled "Feral Intellect". The editorial, inspired by "a nuclear winter in summer", showcases the menswear and personal studio of LA Based designer Michel Berandi. Wonderful to see such inspiring (non Bedazzled) work out of LA. That first shot reminds me of the AFI video for "Love Like Winter".

I knew a few years ago I'd seen a menwear show where some of the models were holding cats. I couldn't find it anywhere couldn't recall the designer and no one else seemed to remember this not even google. I was beginning to feel like a crazy person!

While archiving some files to my external I finally found it! So here's a couple shots of the Carlo Pignatelli show where a few of the models came out holding this one uneasy looking, beautiful kitty! Hats off to the models who were able to stay composed and control the little fluff.

I have always had the idea to do this for when I am finally a creative director. Every model with a live kitty accessory, the statement of my label's ideal man.

Georgy Baratashvili Spring10 Lookbook

Russian, former professional dancer (whose credentials include an MA from Central St Martins and a collab with Puma) presents a spring collection that is a sweet combination of active wear inspired dark glamour. 

Beautifully dyed jersey gives a wonderful texture to the look as well as sheer tops. The fluidity of the look is rounded out by pants that have a strong look and are as innovative as the shirts.
